Argan Fruit Gathering

A group of Amazigh (Berber) women take to the argan forests to gather fruits that have fallen from the trees in region. As argan fruits ripen, they turn yellow and fall to the ground. Only then are they collected and laid out to dry before the valuable kernels can be extracted and pressed for oil. The dried fruit flesh is sold on as feed for livestock.
